Here at Shaftesbury Primary School, our aim is to serve our local community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage understanding of the meaning of faith, by promoting and developing Christian values through the experiences we offer to our pupils.
We aim to create a happy, stimulating learning environment, where each individual is encouraged and supported to achieve the highest standards.
We aim to achieve positive attitudes towards learning, family, friends and the community; to have respect and empathy for other people and the world around us, alongside the confidence to be successful in daily life with aspirational goals for the future.
Shaftesbury Primary is a Church of England Primary School,
in the Diocese of Salisbury.
The daily Act of Collective Worship is an important part of our school life. It provides an opportunity for Koinonia (to come together in love, faith, and encouragement), as a whole school and during class based worship. Our worship is usually led by staff and visitors, though pupils are always involved.
While the Christian ethos of the School will be reflected in the daily Act of Collective Worship, centred around our Christian Values, the faith stance of the School members who are of other traditions, faith or of none, is always respected.
